Gaqwop

A game about horses and analog devices created for the Wholesome Jam 2026 in 12 hours. Do you remember that rage inducing game called QWOP that was popular a long time ago? Well, imagine that but instead of trying to control an athlete with 2 limbs, you have a horse with 4 limbs... Yeah..

The game is called Gaqwop becuase Gallop + QWOP gives you Gaqwop.., get it? I thought it was clever at the time atleast.

Credits

Most of the code and wonky physics was made by me Linkan (@Oysantato on Discord) and all the art/music/sfx was made by @ChaXXism.

(except the uncanny horse / dog made by me)

Instructions

The controls are written in the game title, but in case you are still confused:

• Q for swinging the left rear leg
• W for swinging the right rear leg
• O for swinging the left front leg
• P for swinging the right front leg

If you find it difficult to move forward. Well, try to mash the buttons in a galloping rhythm. If you manage to reach 100m in less than a minute you win! That's pretty much it.
